Music: Lais-Moon & Stars 2 Feat. Skizzy Mars

So Lais has been on my radar for a while but as we can see, I’m late to posting shit on here. I’ve just honestly not cared but I do care now LOL. Lais dropped his EP ‘114’ on the 19th after they stole his producer’s laptop and backup drive. Most of ‘114’ was on there and he had to re-record the majority of it. Talk about focus. He hails from Toronto. If you listen to Drake’s OVO Sounds Radio, you may have heard a little tune by the name of ‘For You’ played on there. No shocker there as Drake is one of his influences but Drake digs him too. Check him out and check out his EP ‘114’ named after the address from his home.

Cocaine Rain is the jam as well.

Video: Drake–Jungle (Short Film)

She said you’re my everything
I love you through everything
I done did everything to her
She forgave me for everything, this a forever thing
Hate that I treated like it’s a whatever thing
Trust me girl, this shit is everything to me…

Don’t know where we stand, I used to hit you ’bout everything
Are we still good? Are we still good?
Are we still good? Are we still good?
If I need to talk are you around?
Are you down for the cause?
Are you down? Are you down? Are you down?
Are you down for the cause?
Are you down? Are you down? Are you down?
Are you down for the cause?
You still down? You still down? You still down?

I’m late on everything but this song is everything.

Partynextdoor–West District

I’m addicted to this song. I can’t even share how many times I’ve listened to it.

I’m true to you, I’m true to these words
Baby, get it through to you
How I’m getting through cause I’m concerned, baby
Is it true to you? How’s it feel with me?
This story that you gone make tonight
You gone tell that shit for life
I don’t want it just tonight, I want forever

Because this song just really sets the mood. Can’t stop jammin’ this.

Girl I can see you’re stressed
Come rely on me for sex
Keep your thighs in line, and hold on
Get it right tonight and turn me on
Ain’t this what you need, nice to know what you want
Not the typical, girl I’m gone

Every day, every night, every morning
Right by my side…
You put pressure on me
Anyway you wanted me
I was there for you
Time over and time again

This is the music he puts out and I’m all in. LOL ‘Wus Good/Curious’ is myyyyyyy shit. If you still haven’t jammed his firs album… wtf you waiting for?

Music: Drake —From Time Feat. Jhené Aiko

I love me, I love me enough for the both of us
That’s why you trust me, I know you been through more than most of us
So what are you? What are you, what are you so afraid of?
Darling you, you give but you cannot take love.

I hate that they slow it down but I know it’s because it lowers the chances YouTube takes it down. One of the most honest songs on here.

Music: Drake—Hold On, We’re Going Home Feat. Majid Jordan

I’m sure we’ve all heard the song but seeing as I’m late as hell these days, here is Drake’s latest ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’. I love this song. It speaks to me and the beat/tempo is uplifting. Drake has released a few tracks that are so different amongst themselves that it makes you curious to hear the album. Majid Jordan, newly signed duo to OVO makes this song a bit more catchy. If Majid is the only one singing here, his voice is captivating. He has an honest sound to him which doesn’t come around too often. They lyrics are beautiful as well.

Oh and by the way, if you haven’t already, you need to be jamming to PARTYNEXTDOOR.

I got my eyes on you, you’re everything that I see
I want your hot love and emotion endlessly
I can’t get over you, you left your mark on me
I want your high love and emotion endlessly

Music: Janine and The Mixtape–Dark Mind

Janine delivered a new stand out track from her forthcoming EP that will grace us June 11th. This song is beautiful. I’m still a huge fan of Hold Me but this one is just so damn perfect. Janine has caught the ears of Epic and OVO Sound. All in her rightful will. I hope she gets signed soon and puts out more amazing work.

You think because I have a smile on my face, I don’t know pain…

Told you I’d survive
made it out alive…

Drake–Started From The Bottom

Drizzy released it before the Grammy talk. This is a niceeeeeee ass jam. I’m glad he switched it up. The beat is contagiously dope. I’ve jammed it about 3 times now. Listen and love it. I’m glad he doesn’t sound so much like Wayne either. Gotta give it to him to switch it up a bit.

My good friends,

It has truly been too long. I assume you’re all keeping well and making the most of this year that has been given to us. Today is the day to begin sharing my newest work with you. This is the first single off of my upcoming album. I feel sometimes that people don’t have enough information about my beginnings and therefore they make up a life story for me that isn’t consistent with actual events. My family and my second family (consisting of the best friends anybody could ever have) all struggled and worked extremely hard to make all this happen. I did not buy my way into this spot and it was the furthest thing from easy to achieve. I am proud of every part of my past and I’m excited for this song to find a place in your life as well. I didn’t feel I needed any interviews or radio or press to launch this song. It felt right to come back to the site that I started on and release it to the people that started here with me. Judging by this post, the tour that we’ve been planning, the conversations about new songs and album artwork…I think it’s safe to say we’re back together again. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

“You don’t have to ask me how I’m doing…just listen to the music” – K.Samir

I’m obsessed with the billboards he puts up. Simplicity to its finest and clean. That’s the most important thing. Things being simple and clean.

Drake May be signing OVO to Warner Brothers

Another day, another interesting story in the music industry. Today, sources are saying that none other than Drake will be following in friend and collaborator Rick Ross’ footsteps by inking a joint venture deal between his own imprint and Warner Bros. Records. But unlike Ross’ publicly visible endeavor, Drake’s move comes as a surprise. After giving career-boosting co-signs to the likes of The Weeknd and A$AP Rocky just for the love of their music, it didn’t seem like Drake was in the business of signing artists. Perhaps it’s time, though. There aren’t many details as of yet, but if Billboard’s report holds true, the Toronto native will continue to release his own solo albums under Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Republic Records while having the ability to sign and distribute artists through October’s Very Own/Warner Bros. Although we are still awaiting official details, it looks like congratulations may be due to Mr. Graham and the whole OVO crew.
